The Personal Iceberg Model, inspired by Virginia Satir, is a framework that visualizes human experience as an iceberg: behaviors are the visible tip, while deeper layers—coping stances, feelings, perceptions, expectations, yearnings, and the core self—lie beneath the surface. These submerged layers shape how we act and interact with the world.
