WHY PUT HEALING AT THE CENTER?

When healing is central, it doesn’t stay with one person. It moves into how we lead, how we gather, and how our systems hold people. It builds empathy, resilience, and belonging, laying the groundwork for a more connected, compassionate, and regenerative world.

Return to the wisdom within

Your own healing reconnects you with what you already know. You learn to lead and show up with congruence, compassion, and care for the relationships around you.

Grow through what is hard

Uncertainty and complexity don’t disappear, but how we meet them can change. You stay rooted in your values, and challenges become places where something new can grow.

Hold spaces of kapwa

Prepare and host spaces where people can practice kapwa, our shared humanity, and where everyone can heal, grow, and be resourced.

Practice care, for yourself and together

Simple, practical ways to bring healing into daily life and work, not as one more task, but as a rhythm you can return to.

Tend resilient systems

Bring practices into your relationships, workplaces, schools, and communities that put thrivability, safety, and deep connection first.

Weave a culture of healing

When healing becomes part of a culture, individuals and organizations meet change and adversity with more steadiness, adaptability, and strength.

Our Offerings

Find your way in.

Healing is both a personal and a collective journey. It doesn’t happen alone; it grows in community. Whether you want to deepen your practice, bring healing into your leadership, foster resilience in your team, or simply find others walking the same path, you have a way in here. Every offering shares the same practice: coming home to the body together, so the places we hold can become places of refuge.

ROOTWORK

Healing-Centered Leadership: the life of a refugium

A four-month learning journey for leaders, facilitators, and practitioners who want to lead from a resourced place and carry healing-centered, liberatory practices back into their teams, schools, and communities. Over ten sessions, we move through the life of a refugium, from preparing the ground to life returning to the wider land.

  1. Ground: why healing belongs at the center, and the shift from focusing on harm to growing from health
  2. Edges: boundaries, and our protective and resourced responses
  3. Reading the land: power, and the colonial patterns we reproduce, knowingly or not
  4. Listening beneath: practicing pakikiramdam, expanding how we attune to ourselves, one another, and the field
  5. Mending: social and ecological repair and restoration, in people, communities, and land
  6. First shoots: sensing emergence, and noticing new life before anyone planned it
  7. Shelter: resourcing ourselves in times of collapse, and how life holds on through a hard season
  8. Seed: radical dreaming, carrying forward the seeds of a future not yet possible
  9. Canopy: systems weaving, connecting across people, places, and systems
  10. Return: integration, as each of us carries the practice home to reseed the wider land

Wellspring

Leadership support for Indigenous youth leaders

Wellspring supports young Indigenous leaders. They are sources of renewal in their own communities, and the program begins with Higaonon youth in Mindanao. The program is shaped with them, rooted in their own knowledge, and led on their own terms.

threshold

Open gatherings for anyone who wants to begin

A threshold is a doorway already open. These gatherings are for anyone curious about healing-centered practice, wherever you are in your journey. No experience needed, only a willingness to arrive as you are.

Join us in HIRAYA: a year-end ceremony

A three-hour online gathering to close one year and open the next. Together we choose a one-word intention, return to our resourced responses, honor those who came before us, and dream boldly toward what is possible. Hiraya comes from the Tagalog phrase hiraya manawari, may what we hope for come to pass.

THE FIELD

Shared projects with institutions and movements

In ecology, a field is more than one tree: it’s the living web that connects them. The Field is where we work alongside organizations, networks, schools, and movements to bring healing-centered practice into the places where leaders are formed, so that change reaches beyond any one person or room. Partnerships can take many shapes:

  • Learning programs for networks and organizations: journeys designed with you, for your leaders, staff, or members
  • Facilitation for repair and difficult moments: holding space for conflict, strategy, transition, and repair, so that teams can move through what is hard together
  • Learning partnerships across borders: exchanges and shared projects with partners in different countries, such as [Erasmus+]
  • Co-creating tools and research: developing practices, guides, and learning with partners, shared back into the Commons

Every partnership begins with listening. We take time to understand your context, your people, and what your work is asking for now.

CURIOUS?

What people often ask before they begin.

A few answers to help you find your way in.

Do I need any experience to join?

No. Threshold gatherings are open to anyone who wants to begin. The Rootwork journey asks for more commitment, and works best for people who already hold space for others, at work or in their communities.

Who are your offerings for?

Leaders, facilitators, coaches, educators, community weavers, and anyone holding space for others. Organizations and networks can also partner with us through The Field.

Are your offerings online or in person?

Most are online, so people can join from anywhere. Some gatherings happen in person. Each event shows its format.

What language are the sessions in?

Our sessions are held in English. We know English is not everyone’s first language, and that for many of us, including the Philippines, it arrived through colonization. We hold that history with care. You are always welcome to speak in the language your body knows best, to search for words slowly, or to bring words from your own language that English cannot hold. We will make room for them.

Is this therapy?

No. Our offerings are learning and practice spaces, not therapy or medical care. If you are in crisis or need clinical support, please reach out to a qualified professional. Our spaces can sit beside that care, but they are not a replacement for it.

Can my organization work with you?

Yes. Start a conversation with us, and we will listen first to understand what your people and your work need.

Not sure where to begin?

Start where you are. Write to us, tell us what you are carrying and what you are hoping for, and we will help you find your way in.
